During dinner, we enjoyed “Tekoné Sushi,” a famous specialty of Mie Prefecture.

“Tekoné Sushi” is a local dish long cherished as fishermen’s fare in the Ise-Shima region. It is said to have earned its name “Tekoné Sushi” (hand-kneaded sushi) because fishermen would fillet freshly caught fish (mainly bonito and tuna) right on their boats and mix it together by hand.
